MAKE A DIFFERENCE

“Serving with Compassion: Meeting Needs, Changing Lives.”

Every moment counts

Our mission is to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in a tangible way by filling the needs of members of the community as we are able and as they come to our attention.

We believe in, to the best of our ability, providing long term solutions to short term problems, but if needed, also to tend to immediate needs if we are able.

Our mission is to meet people at the point of their need and without being a respecter of persons.

We believe in serving and as is said by Paul in 1 Corinthians, being “all things to all people that by all means, we might win some.”

Our mission is also to use wisdom and discernment when making these decisions. It is our responsibility as stewards of donated funds, items and the time given to us by the community, to ensure we are making best efforts to use those resources wisely while helping those in need.

1 Cor 9: 19 – 23.

19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Annual projects:

Warm Homes – firewood and heaters until we run out.
Cool summers – box fans for elderly and single parents with kids.
Growing Hope – providing vegetable plants to as many we can so they can grow their own food. Also provide gardening education.
Safety Swim Day – teach kids the basics of swimming and provide them with a life jacket after their lesson.
Silver Tree – Christmas for senior citizens

These are just a few and projects that happen each year. There are many others that happen in between our staple projects and frequently. We operate on a find a need and fill it basis to the best of our ability with the resources we have or are given. We partner daily and work within our communities daily.
